PRINCIPLES
United Community: We come together to build our community. We believe in actively building society to be caring and just. We ground our efforts in respect for all life. We welcome members across the political spectrum.
Mutual Accountability: We hold each other accountable. We expect members to provide credible information and to disclose the sources. We expect civil discourse in all in-person and virtual spaces.
Mutual Trust: We acknowledge that trust needs to be developed and maintained. We require new members to build personal connections with group members. We ask for new members to complete a registration prior to joining our listserve.
Truth: We disseminate information that is true to our best knowledge. We critique systems, including policies. We believe in freedom of the press. We stand for truth.
Individual Empowerment: We aim to empower each member to be involved as his/her/their conscience calls. We recognize that involvement is different for everyone, and we encourage involvement that is authentic and consistent with each individual's values.
Collective Amplification: We amplify other organizations and individuals already working on the issues and actions we address.
Education: We believe that not one of us knows as much as we do together. Educating ourselves and each other expands our community and empowers us all.
